W25I Laboratory Extruder
W25i is a prototype single-screw extrusion unit featuring an innovative induction heating system that uses electromagnetic induction to reach operating temperatures very quickly. Thanks to this, the plasticizing system and the extrusion head can be heated up to 650°C within 10–20 minutes.
This solution significantly expands polymer processing capabilities, as it allows thermoplastics to be processed at temperatures above 400°C, which is often impossible with standard extrusion units. W25i therefore opens up new possibilities for manufacturing and developing polymer products with operating temperatures above 200°C.
The unit uses three independent heating zones (two on the barrel and one on the head), with each zone powered by a separate medium-frequency generator and controlled by its own temperature controller with a sensor. The system includes a 7.5 kW main motor, a frequency inverter, and a programmable control system with a 10" touch panel.

Fast heat-up, high temperatures, stable process, and new polymer processing possibilities
W25i is a prototype single-screw extrusion unit with an innovative induction heating system. It uses electromagnetic induction, allowing the plasticizing system and the head to be heated up to 650 °C in a very short time (approx. 10–20 minutes). This solution enables processing of thermoplastics above 400 °C, which is often impossible with standard extrusion units.

W25i – prototype extrusion unit with induction heating

Induction heating on the W25i significantly reduces the heat-up time of both the barrel and the head, while also contributing to high stability of the extrusion process. The unit opens up new possibilities for the development and production of polymer products intended for operating temperatures above 200 °C.
The extrusion unit is equipped with three independent heating zones: two zones are located on the barrel and the third zone on the head. Each zone is powered by its own medium-frequency generator and controlled by a separate temperature controller with a sensor.
The system includes a 7.5 kW main motor (with a PTC sensor), a frequency inverter, and a programmable control system with a 10" touch panel for convenient operation and process setup.
