LNP® nano touch
Compact force-displacement sensor with optical incremental position measurement and electromechanical generation of the measuring force. The standard displacement resolution is 10 nm over a 4 mm range.

LNP® 1 – Basic Measurement Workstation with nano touch Technology
LNP® 1 is the basic configuration within the LNP workstation solutions for precise characterization of the mechanical and physical properties of materials. At the core of the system is the LNP® nano touch micro-indentation sensor, which combines electromechanical generation of the measuring force with optical incremental displacement measurement.
The standard LNP® 1 configuration uses a manual stand, single-axis control, a camera, and LNP® nano touch Basic software. The manufacturer describes it as a workstation solution for qualified users and offers it for laboratory testing of elastomers, plastics, and other materials where high force sensitivity and displacement resolution are required.
Depending on the configuration, indenter, software, and accessories used, the LNP® nano touch platform can perform standardized hardness tests as well as additional analytical methods. The Basic software is primarily designed for IRHD-M, modified IRHD-M, VLRH, Shore methods, project templates, and two-point measurements. More advanced analytical functions may require the Advanced software or additional equipment.
LNP® 1 is the basic manual workstation configuration based on the high-precision LNP® nano touch sensor. It enables force-displacement measurements and characterization of elastomers, plastics, and other materials with 10 nm displacement resolution and adjustable measuring force.

LNP® 1 combines the high-precision nano touch sensor with a manual workstation stand, camera, and basic measurement software. It is designed as an entry-level workstation solution for precise laboratory material characterization.
Compact force-displacement sensor with optical incremental position measurement and electromechanical generation of the measuring force. The standard displacement resolution is 10 nm over a 4 mm range.
LNP® 1 is equipped with a manual stand and single-axis control. The system includes a camera holder and camera for visual inspection and positioning of the measurement point.
The Basic software supports standardized workflows and project-oriented measurements. According to the manufacturer, it supports IRHD-M, modified IRHD-M, VLRH, Shore methods, and two-point measurements.
LNP® 1 is suitable for laboratories, R&D, and quality control applications requiring sensitive force-displacement characterization while maintaining a simple manual workflow.
The optical incremental sensor provides a standard displacement resolution of 10 nm and enables the detection of very small changes in indenter position.
According to the manufacturer, the standard sensor operates over a range of 0.05 mN to 1.4 N. For selected applications, a measuring-head version with a range of up to 10 N is available.
Depending on the selected configuration, the nano touch platform can be used for hardness testing as well as more advanced material characterization.
The workstation can be expanded with indenters, sample holders, positioning units, a heating table, or other LNP accessories depending on the specific application.
The manufacturer specifies a wide range of standard test and analytical methods for the LNP® nano touch platform. Availability of a specific method depends on the indenter used, software license, workstation configuration, and additional equipment.
Note: some advanced functions require LNP® nano touch Advanced software or additional hardware and are not included in the basic LNP® 1 package.
The technical values are based on the current LNP® 1 product information and apply to the nano touch measurement system.
