Spoprijemanje s konicami tlaka, ki uničujejo pretvornik
Številni pretvorniki v sistemih za pogon tekočin so žrtve kratkotrajnih tlačnih preobremenitev - običajno imenovanih tlačne konice. Če so ti skoki dovolj močni, lahko pride do trajnega pozitivnega premikanja ničle na izhodu pretvornika.Po preučevanju teh skokov smo razvili laboratorijsko metodo za določanje velikosti dejanskega skoka tlaka, ki je povzročil določeno okvaro na polju. Metoda kaže, da se v sistemu lahko pojavijo tlačne konice, ki so večkrat večje od nazivnega tlaka v sistemu.
Senzorji za polnjenje z živim srebrom
Pretvornik je elektronska naprava, ki pretvarja energijo iz ene oblike v drugo. V primeru Dyniscovega pretvornika tlaka procesna tekočina deluje s tlačno silo na tanko prožno kovinsko membrano na konici senzorja. Ta pa obremenjuje majhno zaznavalno napravo, imenovano tenzometer. Ta tenzometer nato pretvori tlačne obremenitve v nizkotonski milivoltni signal, ki ga je mogoče nadalje kondicionirati v še eno vrsto signala.
